Halloween Wedding Venues

Do you love Halloween?  Since the holiday is on a Saturday this year there are many brides living it up and walking down the aisle with a Halloween theme.  Whether you believe in ghosts or not there are many venues around the country with a reputation to scare you.  The attraction is that many of these venues are beautiful older buildings and they make for a great place to have your wedding!

The Stanley Hotel               Estes Park, Colorado

This historic hotel was the inspiration for Stephen King’s hotel in “The Shining”.  Sitting in the middle of the beautiful town of Estes Park this hotel attracts tourists from all over the world, conventions and many weddings.

Belcourt Castle                     Newport, Rhode Island

This 60 room mansion has 4 secret passages and many expensive pieces of art and antiques.  

 

 

 

The Lemp Mansion             St. Louis, Missouri

This old mansion’s history is full of  tragedy starting in the early 1900’s.  Now it is a beautiful restaurant and venue.

 

 

 

Hawthorne Hotel                 Salem, Massachusetts

This Salem hotel has the hauntings of of sea captains and witches.  It opened it’s doors in 1925 and has one of the most popular grand ballrooms in Salem’s history.

 

Hotel Provincial                   New Orleans, Louisiana

Located in New Orleans French Quarter, this hotel was once a Confederate hospital and is said to be haunted by the soldiers and doctors of that time.

 

 

The Queen Mary                  Long Beach, California

This beautiful ship sits docked in Long Beach, California.  Although she is not sailing the high seas these days, The Queen Mary gets plenty of attention with it’s history.

 

 

 

Thayer’s B&B                         Annandale, Minnesota

This B&B is an old Victorian mansion just outside the Twin Cities.

The Myrtles Plantation       St. Francisville, Louisiana

This beautiful mansion was built in 1796 by General David Bradford but now is a great attraction for many tourists and overnight guests.  

 

Some people hear kids crying, some people see shadows and others have the hair stand up on their arms when they walk down the halls….

Most of these places are beautiful old landmarks and are great places for a wedding!
