Many weddings have a cocktail hour after the ceremony for guests to have a drink, something to snack on and it gives the newly married couple a chance to take pictures. To match the overall theme and colors of your wedding you can have tables set up for this along with the appetizers and a bar. Because you are serving food now why not incorporate it into a cute centerpiece! They are colorful, pretty and will save you money on real flower arrangements!
There are many places you can buy these including the largest company, Edible Arrangements.

But this can also be a DIY project
Items you will need:
1. Contianers for the arrangements that go along with the overall theme of your wedding
2. floral blocks
2. skewer sticks
3. Pineapple, Cantalope, strawberries, apples, blueberries, melons, grapes, cherries, ect…
4. Cookie Cutters in the shape of flowers and small circles (you can do any shape that fits your wedding)
5. Knife, Cutting Board, Melon Baller
This will be a project you will need to do a day or two before the wedding to keep the fruit fresh. Apples will turn brown once you slice them so you will want to prevent this with the method of your choice (often soaking the cut pieces in orange juice or lemon ice water will work) You will also want a good amount of space in a refridegerator to store them.
When making the arrangements you will want to fill it all in so there are no gaps. If you find you are having a problem with gaps you can always fill them with Parsely or another green herb.
If you really feel up to the challenge you could even do some of the fruit dipped in chocolate!
That’s it! Now all you will you need is someone to place them on the small tables for the cocktail hour and enjoy!
