Oanh & Tim
Oahnh + Tim were married at The Imperia in Somerset, NJ. Oanh hired me sight unseen after seeing my website online. They were the first couple to book me for my “whopper” package. I was very flattered when she mentioned that they had considered hiring a very well-known Canadian crew, but instead chose me!

Sara & Tristan
Sara and Tristan’s wedding was at the Bozarth Mansion up north in Spokane. The weather had been forecasting storms for that day, but we all lucked out when we got blue sky and white clouds, perfect for photos. Sara and Tristan chose to have their first look and their formal wedding photography before their ceremony, which left us with plenty of time to get everything they wanted. It also gave them a quiet break after their ceremony alone as husband and wife.

The wedding took place at Overtoun House in Dunbarton Scotland which was built in 1862.
I had the pleasure to photograph this wonderfully crazy couple a few months back.
These guys had a great sense of humour which helped me to create some epic photos.
Everything ranging from shooting a few hoops to “surprising her husband in the restroom” kept eveyone laughing throughout the day.
In case you were wondering the bride works full time as a clown!

Carre & Chris 2009
Chris and Carre got married in the early spring. Though they had a beautiful, small and private ceremony. They still wanted to share their Love and special day with family and friends at a reception. I was lucky enough to be asked to document the entire day for them. The day of the reception started out raining very hard and steady. I called Carre to arrange meeting an hour before the reception was to start to hopefully get some of the group formals done outside when we had brief periods of sun fighting through the clouds. The rain let up long enough to get this image.

Then while we were setting up images Carre was twirling an umbrella. I quickly told Chris to kiss her. She then grinned from ear to ear and pointed at her cheek as the place for him to plant one. Time like these are when I enjoy my job the most. It is a great feeling knowing that I am doing what I love to do and at the same time I am capturing precious moments for clients that have become friends. This whole scenario took approximately 3 seconds but as I tripped the shutter I was already anticipating the beautiful image I was capturing. I was right as this was the result.

Then the rain started again and we rushed inside. I grabbed this image while Carre and Chris took a break from greeting arriving guests.

Then it was time for the first dance. As you can see from these next images they are deeply in love and this reception was high on the list of greatest days of their life.

I am so glad I got to be a part of their day. Steven Bonnau

Lovely Bride and her three sons

Bride and her new husband. He suffers from end stage Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. The bride has been his caretaker for the past few years.

Their special way of communicating

Oldest son gave a very moving speech. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, including me.
